FTCMP Holds Charitable Traditional Chinese Medicine Clinic at Real Chinese Academy, Orpington

On February 14, 2026, coinciding with Valentine’s Day in the West and the eve of the Chinese New Year, the Federation of Traditional Chinese Medical Practitioners in the UK (FTCMP) organized a team of senior traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) experts to visit the Real Chinese Academy in Orpington. They held a charitable clinic event, providing professional and compassionate TCM services to students, teachers, and parents.

The event was led by Professor Chen Zan-yu, President of the Federation, with Vice President Zhao Xue-jing, Secretary General Fan Zhi-chao, and Member Wang Zhan-hui participating. The expert team offered free medical services, including TCM body constitution assessment, pulse diagnosis, and health consultations. They patiently answered questions on daily healthcare, wellness, seasonal adjustments, and related topics, receiving a warm welcome from the school administration and parents.

A representative from Real Chinese Academy stated that this was the first time the school had hosted a TCM clinic. Students and teachers showed great interest in TCM culture and appreciated its unique charm as an important part of Chinese traditional culture.

Professor Chen Zan-yu said that the Spring Festival is the most important traditional festival of the Chinese nation. By choosing this time to visit communities and campuses, the Federation is not only embodying the spirit of TCM’s “compassionate heart and skilled hands,” but also hoping to help more people in the UK, especially young people, learn about traditional Chinese medicine and promote cultural exchanges between China and the UK. The Federation will continue to promote the dissemination and development of TCM abroad, serve local communities, and tell the story of traditional Chinese medicine.
